In plain words
1.5 m passengers
What it is. Domestic and international passengers carried by air carriers registered in the country.
Neither way is good in itself. Whether a change is welcome depends on why it happened, so read it against its own history and other countries.
Why it matters. A single figure says little on its own: its direction over time and its place among other countries say more.
